Cat Dean

Cat will appear in SPARE CHANGE by Mia McCullough this fall at Stage Left.

She appeared in WATER by Alice Austen at Chicago Dramatists, and in MRS. CLAUS: A HOLIDAY MUSICAL with Chicago Kids Company as an elf.

She is currently participating in Stage Left's first Developmental Residency, playing Seraphima in THE DAY OF KNOWLEDGE by David Alan Moore.

She is t eaching Acro-Aerial classes for AMEBA (www.amebadance.org), and writing GREEN GUIDE for CCLF (www.cclfchicago.org): revamping a guide to help nonprofit developers build "green" affordable housing, social service or arts facilities and commercial spaces.

 

Kevin Heckman

Kevin will appear in SPARE CHANGE by Mia McCullough this fall at Stage Left.

He recently directed the first Downstage Left residency project, THE DAY OF KNOWLEDGE by David Alan Moore, which appeared in LeapFest 4 in June.

He directed Babes with Blades' world premiere production of THE GIRL IN THE IRON MASK.

He directed LIVE GIRLS, the final show of Stage Left's 25th season.

Margaret's play CREOLE will receive its world premiere this fall at InFusion Theatre.

Mia McCullough

Mia's play SPARE CHANGE is receiving its world premiere this fall at Stage Left.

Her play SINCE AFRICA had a critically successful and sold-out run at Mo'olelo Performing Arts Company in San Diego this fall.

Her play TAKING CARE will have its West Coast premiere at Victory Theatre in Burbank, CA.

And Stanford University is hosting a reading of ECHOES OF ANOTHER MAN (produced by Stage Left in Fall 2005) for its medical school in March.

David Alan Moore

David's play, IN TIMES OF WAR, won a Joseph Jefferson Citation for"Outstanding New Work" in the '06-'07 Chicago non-Equity theater season. The play kicked off Stage Left's 25th Anniversary Season in October 2006.

THE DAY OF KNOWLEDGE was included in LeapFest 4, where it was directed by Stage Left Producing Artistic Director, Kevin Heckman, and featured Stage Left ensemble members Cat Dean and Chris Gatto. His short play, CINDERELLA CHECKS HER WATCH, is a current finalist for the 2007 Heideman Award in the National 10-Minute Play Contest (Actors Theatre of Louisville).

David's full-length play, SAFE, received a staged reading at Chicago Dramatists in August 2007.


Brian Plocharczyk

Brian will soon be taking a month out the crazy theatre life to head to the Pacific Northwest to train at the United Stuntmens Assosiation stunt school, where he will be beaten, burned, thrown of buildings and finally shot. Sounds like fun, huh?

 


David Rush

ONE FINE DAY, produced in 2007 at Stage Left and nominated for a Jeff Citation for Best New Work, has been optioned for a feature film by Trendline Inc.

TYING THE KNOT was read at a statewide marriage equality convention, and will be produced in Bloomington later this year.

DAPPLES & GRAYS is being given a staged reading at Island Rep Theater on Fire Island next month.

WHIRLYBIRDS is flying along. Thanks to all who helped during LeapFest.

 

John Sanders

John recently appeared in CYMBELINE and TROILUS AND CRESSIDA at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre.

He will appear this spring in I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE at Noble Fool Theatricals at Pheasant Run.

David M. Schmitz

David will direct the Chicago premiere of SKIN IN FLAMES for Stage Left's Season 26: Global Voices.

 


LaRonika Thomas

LaRonika is serving as the dramaturg for SPARE CHANGE by Mia McCullough, the first show of the 2007/2008 season at Stage Left, as well as producing Stage Left's week of 365 DAYS / 365 PLAYS.

She is serving as dramaturg on the world premiere of The SAVANNAH DISPUTATION by Evan Smith at Writers' Theatre.

LaRonika is also currently working with Greg Allen for the fifth time on his next Neo-Futurist prime time show. Finally, she continues her work as the Regional VP for Metro Chicago for Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas.

Don Tieri

Don appeared in David Alan Moore’s Jeff-Winning play, IN TIMES OF WAR, at Stage Left in the fall of 2006.

 

ELECTROCUTION, a full-length play by Don Tieri, was developed in Stage Left’s DSL program, and was included in LeapFest 4 in June 2007.
